Technology in School

The School has 3 dedicated IT rooms each equipped with work stations. All classroom PCs and laptops are installed with Windows 7 and MS Office, secure internet connectivity with specific applications available to aid student learning in specialist areas such as Art, Music, Drama, Technology, Languages, Maths and Science.

Classrooms have SMART interactive white boards. Professional printing and scanning facilities are available plus an extensive range of software applications to cater for innovative teaching and learning.

The Hall is fitted with excellent projection and professional sound systems to display presentations which support productions, assemblies

Accessibility

All students are given a network account which allows them to access their personal storage space and resource material provided by subject teachers. The network is structured to make navigation simple, whilst teaching students the basic layout of the Microsoft Windows environment. Shortcuts to common resources, useful information are available on our Intranet page.

Security & Monitoring

We have strict security in place to ensure confidentiality and prevent network misuse. We use Impero software which allows staff to monitor, control and lock any workstations as well as remotely assist students.
