Martin Farmer

Mr Farmer has served as a staff governor at Queen Elizabeth since his appointment as Headteacher in September 2014.  He attends all meetings of the full governing body and sub-committees.

Mr Farmer began his teaching career in 1996 when as a newly qualified teacher of Business Studies he took up post at Aldersley High School in Wolverhampton, moving swiftly to Head of Department the following year and to Head of Sixth Form shortly after.  In 2006, he became an Assistant Headteacher at Aldersley and in 2009 Vice Principal.  He served a term as Acting Principal in 2013 to cover a medical absence and was seconded to New Park Special School for 2 terms in 2014.  In addition to being a teacher of Business studies, Mr Farmer has had responsibility for curriculum design, behaviour management and pastoral care.  He achieved the National Professional Qualification for Headship in 2009.

Mr Farmer currently also serves as a governor of a Worcestershire Primary school where he chairs the Raising Standards Committee.
